Tour Blue Ox Millworks and Historic Park
A Unique Example of Victorian Craftsmanship Living in the Twenty-First Century

Blue Ox has long been the highlight of many tours through Northern California.  And now we are offering special packages for groups in addition to the fully guided tour we have always offered.  We welcome bus tours and organizations.  With several packages to choose from, your guests will never forget their experiences at Blue Ox!

Self-guided tours:
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Year Round.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April - November.

Begin with a demonstration of Victorian era human powered tools, historical perspectives and of course plenty of stories! Then continue on at your own pace through our main woodworking building, lathe room, print shop, textiles studio, mill and molder buildings, blacksmith shop, ceramics & stained glass studios, boat works and horse drawn carriages, skid camp ~ and meet our farm animals!

Fully Guided Tour
(Please arrange in advance)

Take a fully guided tour of our main woodworking building, lathe room, print shop, ceramics and textiles studios, mill and molder buildings, blacksmith shop, boat works, skid camp ~ and meet our farm animals!

Includes demonstrations of Victorian era human powered tools, historical perspectives and of course plenty of stories!

$15 per person (ten person minimum)
Allow an hour and a half for the fully guided tour

Fully Guided Discounted School Tours:

For just $7.00 per person, age 7 and up, your class will enjoy our fully guided tour through the Mill and Skid Camp, plus meet our farm animals.

For $20.00 per person, your class will take the fully guided tour plus enjoy working in the Blacksmith Shop to create a hand-forged nail, or the Textile Studio to create handspun yarn.

Contact us to create your own custom workshop package. Package includes a self guided tour and 2 workshops. Possibilities include:

∙ Hand forge your own nail!
∙ Spin your own yarn!
∙ Print a card on a letterpress printer!
∙ Cook on a wood cook stove!
∙ Turn a bowl on the lathe!
